Dark X-Men The Beginning #1 page 2 (Mimic story)
The character is Mimic. I don't know all the comic history. He died once fighting the Incredible Hulk. This is a scene showing his return as only comics can do. He has the powers of the original 5 X-Men. That's why the wings and Cyclop's energy flash.
These are the first pages I've pencilled professionally in 12 years. Most of those 12 years were spent inking for Marvel and DC.
I posted the sketch layout and pencil version ofr this page as well.

Congrats for the DD. Something about the wing on the left doesn't look right though. either the foreshortening is hard to gauge from the lightness of those primaries, or the wing is really short on that side. The other wing looks great, though it looks more like the back of a wing than the inside from the arrangements of primaries and secondaries. It is a very strong and impressive picture.Don't mind me. I'm not a professional, I'm just picky about wings. ;) done right I could stare for hours, but all too easily my eye picks out when they are not quite right. You keep up the fabulous inking. I wish I had an 8th of your talent for people. I'm only good with wings.. alas.
